In the Garden

The dahlias are blooming, The top of my car is covered in hazlenut shells, the lettuce is bolting and the crows are singing in the trees. I've really been enjoying this summer. For several years I've neglected my vegetable and perennial garden. Last fall I started to renovate and the work goes on, but it is so rewarding. This summer we've been eating fresh lettuce salads, drinking fresh cammomile and mint tea and decorating the house with fresh flowers. This fall we'll have potatoes, more lettuce and some broccoli. In the spring there will be more flowers and food. I had forgotten how much I enjoy gardening.
