An update and a new direction

Well, I had planned to go another direction with this blog, but now that direction doesn't seem quite right. At least you’re caught up with some of who I am. So I think I’ll squirt out another direction – just like my life!!

Thursday, April 24th my dad decided to move to assisted living. At 89 years old his mind is sharp as a tack, but lately his asbestosis has been getting worse. Two years ago he got winded going up a flight of stairs. Now a walk of a few feet, even with oxygen and his new walker, leaves him gasping for breath. It’s the right thing, but is sure is hard.
So Saturday, April 26th my brother, Tom, his youngest daughter Sara came over from Spokane and we moved him. Tom, Sara and Dad’s friend, Maxine’s son, Seth (did you follow that?) moved all the big stuff and a whole lot of the small stuff.
Since then we’ve been finishing the clearing out of his old apartment. There is so much there that really can’t be kept. My plan is to take pictures and scrapbook the memories.
Then Monday I came home to find that our house had been burglarized. They got 4 of our cameras, some jewelry and destroyed some stuff looking for more. The worst was the mess.
I'm planning on being a more diligent blogger in the near future - really!
