Living in Interesting Times

I decided that this summer is the time I would have surgery on my left eye that has the clogged tear duct. I had that surgery Tuesday, August 4th. Today, Wednesday, I took this picture. Ugg! I was under full sedation and awoke with a very sore throat from the tube they had in there, but not very sore from the incision and hole they put thru the bone into my sinus cavity.

Then we went to Bremerton. Roger's middle sister, Linda, is in the hospital and they were expecting bad news. Sure enough, she has incurable cancer. It probably started in her pancreas and has spread from there to her liver, stomach, lungs and probably other places they haven't biopsied. It is so hard. She is one of our favorite people in the whole wide world.
