Here's another of my Wednesday morning thoughts:
In the song "Jesus I am Resting, Resting" by James Mountain and Jean Sophia Pigott, the second verse starts out "Oh how great Thy loving kindness, Vaster broader than the sea..." I thought of standing on the edge of an ocean beach and seeing sooo far, but not a tiny fraction of the way to the next land. I was standing in our church gym which has a ceiling of 12 to 20 feet. I thought of my scuba diving and how in the hour it takes to use up a tank of air I could probably only explore that much area - a tiny fraction of even what I could see standing on the beach. How vast and broad IS the sea? How vast and broad is God's love and mercy for us? I can't fathom it (pun intended.) So I pray that you may grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ. Ephesians 3:17-18 MCV (My Version)
