Our friend, Linda, just got 200 copies of the CD we recorded for her over the summer. The music is her interpreting hymns as she does for church service preludes. When a friend had to go through chemo again, Linda wanted to give her something uplifiting. We convinced Linda to make this available for sale to cover costs to giving the CD to other shut-ins and very ill. The hymns include I Need Thee Every Hour, Tis So Sweet, Because He Lives, We Shall Behold Him, and O Love That Will Not Let Me Go - 26 in all, some in just sketches. Linda is a gifted musician who leads our church choir and also plays cello in a string quartet. Her piano sketches are filled with unexpected chords and trills, yet so peaceful that I can sit and listen to the whole album over and over. She has been surprised that the CDs have sold just inside our church so well in such a short time, but we aren't.
