Another sketch from 1997. Jetweed comes up and flowers very early in the spring. By the time I'm outside and weeding it is ready to spread it's seeds. You reach for it and...POP! It spreads its seeds in an explosion. OK, not a big one - it's only 5" tall, but it can startle you.
In other news, hubby and I went to Family Life's Art of Marriage program held at our church and many others last weekend. It is the first time we've gone to a marriage seminar. It was VERY good. The production values of the videos were really high. Nobody got beat up for not being spiritual enough and you didn't have to share with the whole group. It was a great overview of the complex subject of marriage, but even an old couple like us came away with some tweeks to make a good marriage better.
