Announcing the winner of the 2013 Mary Cox Most Beautiful Tree Contest.
This tree stands in the parking lot of my hearing specialist across the river from Fort Dent. I've had my eye on it for several weeks. It started with red on the outside and green on the inside and slowly turned to orange on the outside and yellow on the inside. Isn't God great to make such lovely colors as the summer heat fades to winter cold?

I drove past this spot and this tree had just been cut down. I never choose the same tree twice, but I love to see them each fall if I can.
