My brother recently found this picture of a 1960 Rambler Ambassador - just like the one we learned to drive on. We called it Sherman because it was made out of cast iron and green and had an antennae out of the middle of the trunk. It had a huge V8 engine and a lot of get up and go. The seats all folded down to make beds so my brother and I would sleep there and Mom and Dad would take the tent. Sherman had a push button transmission that you could push the "reverse" half-way down when someone was tail-gating you, the whole back of the car would light up and they would back off. Loved that car!
