I sent my brother, Tom, an invitation to my blog (see comments) and he asked how my kids are doing. So since I typed it out for him, I'll put it here too.
Andrew is still enjoying being an EMT with AMR Ambulance. His new partner is one of the company’s top trainers, so even when they are not training someone else, he’s being trained. His “vacation” recently was to spend a weekend at the Seattle Penny Arcade Expo. This is where Nintendo-like companies trot out their newest. Computer geeks from all over come, because Seattle’s is one of the largest in the world. He’s been associated with this for several years. He has been working as an Enforcer (security) and this year he was the Enforcer with the most medical training, so he was called whenever anyone scraped a knee or felt faint from forgetting to eat. Andrew and Mila are still together. He’s back to training to take the Fireman’s test – I think he has a good shot this year.
Bethany is still working for Paper Zone. This summer she transferred to the Bellevue store as the Assistant Manager. Now her Manager has quit and Bethany will be the acting Manager until they can find another. (Then she may quit and look for another job closer to home – she’s thinking “bank”.) She’s taking 15 credits at Highline Com Col and looking toward Western in Bellingham next fall. Her boyfriend, Anthony is a great guy, Quaker, rocker, lover of all things paper (they met at work). If this sounds quirky be it known that he and Bethany are well matched.
