It's the Journey

Yup, that's me. Not now, of course. Something around 50 years ago. I still like ducks - now I'm the one taking the pictures. My mom probably took this with her Alpa. I have pictures of and from both my grandmothers as young women - all three of these women developed their own film. They sure would have loved digital!
There are so many things that shape us. It is sometimes hard to know if they are cause or effect. Some I know, like the 18 months my family spent in Florida while I went to first grade and Dad worked at Cape Canaveral in the early 60s (curiosity), or the 15 years I spent in Girl Scouts (confidence), or my dad's trumpet playing (love of music), or birding or gardening or cooking or reading or even woodworking. But why do I take to computers so well? And there's nobody as sentimental as me in the WHOLE family!
Yup, it's the journey and it's wonderful to look back every now and then, but it is even better to look forward...
