Last Monday thru Thursday Dear Hubby and I took our 24 year old son and his girlfriend to Disneyland. On the last day we also met one of DH's oldest friends and his wife there. We rode our favorite rides: Pirates, IJ and Space Mt. Our son hadn’t been on Tom Sawyer’s Island since it gained the pirate’s lair, so we all explored. We finally got to go on the new Finding Nemo ride, which was just as much fun as the old submarines. We have always enjoyed the Haunted Mansion, but what they do for Halloween thru Christmas is a must-see. The fall decorations all around the park are wonderful - candy corn hanging on palm trees? Every time we go we learn more about how to do Disney smart. For example, learn the local bus schedules to get from a cheaper hotel to the park and back. And if you want to go to the far end of Downtown Disney, but don’t want to traipse thru everything twice, take the Monorail from Tomorrowland – it lets you off near the Lego store. Despite the fact that the park was more crowded than I would have thought for an odd week in October, a good time was had by all. And the old Mark Twain is beautiful at night, isn't it?
