Zion National Park

Next we rented a car and headed to Zion National park by way of Valley of Fire NV State Park. (I’m not putting pictures of that here, but don’t miss is if you get a chance to go.) Zion is a small canyon side to side, but DEEP. You drive in at the bottom and all around you loom these monolithic rocks with names like “Altar of Sacrifice” and “The Watchman”. The weather wasn’t really good; it snowed the night we got there and we didn’t see the sun until the day we left. None of our pictures were able to show the scale of the park. The picture here is Roger taking a picture (of a wild turkey?) across the river with the canyon walls behind him. I think we’re going to have to keep going back until we can get some good pictures of this place.
