Prayer

For the end of WOW, Roma gave me a little figurine called Angel of Prayer by Willow Tree. It is the perfect picture for this thought:

Prayer is a conversation with our Creator who is outside time and able to give each of us His full and constant attention, making a connection that is deeper than

a mother with her child,

an artist with their muse or

a mechanic with his engine.

It can heal the soul, the spirit and often the body.

It can reach around the world and into the future

It is more powerful than we can imagine, yet less utilized than a gym membership.

Coupled with scripture it is capable of creating unlimited growth of patience, faithfulness, wisdom, inspiration perspective, joy, hope, peace and love.

It can have elements of praise, confession, thankfulness, intercession (for others) and supplication (for self) sometimes rolled in a single moan.

Prayer is all this and so much more.
