She made it! Since she was in high school my baby said that she wanted to be a Rat City Roller Girl. This spring and summer she has been working out, skating miles and attending roller boot camp. Last Saturday she tried out and GOT IN! I'm not surprised, just excited.
The Rat City Roller Girls has had 4 home teams that compete at Key Arena from January to June and two away teams made up from the best skaters who compete around the country from June thru August. They just added a new home team for freshmen (they call them fresh meat) named the Ratskateers, who will not compete, but will go to all the practices and scrimages. That's the team she's on. She'll probably be a jammer cuz she is agile and skates fast.
Now she has to decide on a name and persona. That is her at the far left in the picture. My beautiful, delicate baby...
